The Statehood Day Ceremony (Proslava ob dnevu državnosti) is one of Slovenia’s most important national state events, commemorating the country’s declaration of independence in 1991. Organized at the highest governmental level, the ceremony brings together leading political representatives, cultural institutions and national audiences in a large-scale live and televised production combining protocol, performance and contemporary stage direction.
